Hello Desert Hot Springs,

As we are at the end of Breast Cancer Awareness Month and with the election just around the corner, I want to take an opportunity to discuss my story as a breast cancer survior, and how we can work to bring healthcare resources to Desert Hot Springs.

As we live in the city once known for 'health and wellness', it's important we make access to healthcare much easier so residents do not have to travel outside of town. Until we can attract our own Urgent Care, there are mobile units that the city council and I could work to bring to our city as a resouce. We can work with the Desert Healthcare District and create a realisitc plan.

As a breast cancer survivor myself, I do want to remind all the women out there to be checked regularly. While we work on bringing healthcare resources, Desert Regional is nearby and it's very easy to schedule an appointment. Just calll (760) 416-4800.
